| The exhaust version of the Cool-Stack mounts in an equipment rack (either at the very top or above the hottest component) and pulls the heated air up and out through its front panel. Four fans on the underside of the Cool-Stack turn slowly (making virtually no noise) as they exhaust heated air through its many vents.
In most installations, one unit is sufficient. However, larger racks with large heat loads may add the intake version of the Cool-Stack which mounts as low as possible in the equipment rack with the fans facing upward. By combining the two units an air current is created that can usually handle the most exhausting tasks (pun intended).
Please note that Cool-Stacks require unobstructed intake and exhaust openings: they will not work if there are doors on the rack. If this is the case, call us about alternate solutions.
