Cooling free-standing cabinets that are at least 2” from the back wall (2 1/2” or 3” is better) is generally straight-forward and uncomplicated, as fans can be mounted on the back panel, out of sight.

 

 

• For smaller cabinets (up to 10 cubic feet), the System 3E or SEC-1 work well. The System 3 fans are supplied loose; the SEC-1 fans are shipped attached to a mounting plate. Both systems are single speed and are  temperature-controlled.

• For larger cabinets (up to about 30 cubic feet), the System 2 family is frequently appropriate.
