Even unenclosed components sometimes need cooling. They

may be on a shelf, in a corner, near something hot, or otherwise “ventilation challenged”. They have some, but not enough, ventilation.

ATM component coolers (Cool-it II, Dual-Mode and Tri-mode Component Coolers) boost existing ventilation.

 

Please note: These coolers should NOT be used in sealed enclosures; the oven just becomes a convection oven, circulating the same hot air around and around.

 

• Use the Cool-it II on a component with vent openings in its top surface.

 

• Use the Dual-mode Component Cooler with full-size components with vent openings in their bottom surface, or as an active heat shield*.

 

• Use the Tri-mode Component Cooler with smaller components with vent openings in their bottom surface, or as an active heat shield*.

 

* An active heat shield is placed above a heat-producing component and cools it, while providing a shelf on which a heat-sensitive component can safely be placed.
